The event of 11th July or the World Population Day every year increases the knowledge and skills of the people worldwide about their approach towards reproduction and family planning. Founder of the environmentalist NGO “Stamp” and an amazing actress, Tanishaa Mukerji speaks her mind on the increasing population and its consequences on the health of the planet.
“According to me, the number of people in a particular place is not that hazardous than the way they shape their lifestyle. They must obviously use the Earth’s resources but using them wisely and in this time and age, with the proper technology, recycling the resources is their responsibility. World’s Population is surely going to increase and ofcourse we must seek measures to try and control it but that’s still a long shot. First we must try and change our lifestyle, our way of living and our mindset. “
This year’s World Population Day theme is A world of 8 billion: Towards a resilient future for all – Harnessing opportunities and ensuring rights and choices for all.
