Actress Sandeepa Dhar, who will be seen in anthology Tera Chhalaava, says as an actor she would like to do role which aren’t anything like her in real-life.
Sandeepa Dhar was interacting with Newshelpline to promote her new series, Tera Chhalaava. Helmed by Kabir Sadanand, starring an ensemble of Anveshi Jain, Samiksha Bhatnagar, Kavita Kaushik, Manish Goplani, Vedika Bhandari, Aabhaas Mehta, Archana Vadnerkar, Amit Behl, and more.
Talking about her role and series, Sandeep said, “Tera Chaalava is crime thriller, it’s an anthology of five different stories, my story is titled Jalpari, it’s about two people who have been childhood friends, based out of Bhopal. The girl is in love with the boy ever since the childhood, the guy is a writer, the problem is this guy hasn’t really reciprocated towards girl’s undying love, and this girl is waiting that someday he will come out of his shell and admit his love for her”
“Now the duo is at a point in their lives, where this writer has hit a block and cannot move past it, and the girl is trying to help him but deep down she is hatching a plan to make the boy admit his feelings toward her, and what follows is the story of Jalpari” added Sandeepa.
When asked about her character bears any resemblance to her real-self, Sandeepa said, “My character in the anthology is totally different than me, and to be honest, as an actor I would want to do roles which are totally different than me, I couldn’t relate to the character in Jalpari, so I had to create her completely, her morality and understanding of the world is totally different”
Tera Chhalaava explores the complexities of love and various decisions that lead people down the path of destruction. The series is streaming on MX Player.
