Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda has been discharged from CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai following a bullet injury he sustained earlier this month. His first public appearance post-incident took place on Friday afternoon, where he expressed gratitude to his well-wishers and the community for their support during his recovery.
In a heartfelt statement to the media, Govinda said, “I thank everyone for their prayers… I thank CM Shinde, the police, and the press. I especially thank my fans for praying so much for me. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their love.” The beloved actor appeared in a wheelchair with his leg in a cast, accompanied by family members as he exited the hospital.
Govinda was rushed to the hospital on October 1 after a bullet wound to his knee resulted from an accidental discharge of his licensed revolver. According to Mumbai Police reports, the incident occurred around 4:45 AM when the actor was preparing to leave for Kolkata. While putting his revolver back into the cupboard, it allegedly misfired, leading to the unfortunate accident.
With his release from the hospital, fans and well-wishers are relieved to see Govinda on the road to recovery. The actor’s resilience and appreciation for the outpouring of love from his supporters highlight the strong bond he shares with his audience. As he heals, fans are hopeful for his quick return to the screen and public life.
